The meaning of the word Dux is “ Best”  or “Leader”, which we can presume the Middleton family who founded Dux wanted their hot water systems to be exactly that – the best. As we have seen, they have continued to be a leader in their field. Dux also seem to have a passion for the environment and reducing carbon emissions. What is also fantastic about Dux is their hot water heaters are manufactured in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales in a place called Moss Vale, so yes manufacturing is in Australia which is great!!

Dux have a wide range of hot water systems available but pride themselves on their energy saving technology in their heat pump hot water systems and their electric boosted and gas boosted solar hot water systems. Dux Airoheat Heat Pump – This heat pump hot water system is a great option if you want to be environmentally friendly but don’t require solar. Sunpro Electric Boosted Solar Hot Water Systems – This is Dux’s Electric boosted solar hot water system. There are 3 sizes to choose from: 250L, 315L and 400L. The Sun Pro comes with High performance black chrome selective surface collectors as standard, which of course is great! It also has a very smart processor that continually searches for the cheapest available energy source, which will save you money in the long run. Sunpro Gas Boosted Solar Hot Water Systems – This is Dux’s Gas boosted solar hot water system. It comes in 315L only, and is a very efficient way to heat your hot water. The Sunpro has a patented Panel Management System which protects against overheating in summer & frost damage in winter. This means you have nothing to worry about, and you can enjoy hot water all year round! Sunpro Gas solar water heaters also come with 5-year tank and panel warranty, 1-year parts and labour.

Non Condensing Continuous Flow Gas Hot Water Heater – This is a great water heater, only heating water when it is needed resulting in reduced running costs and lower gas bills. This also means as long as you have gas, you will not run out of hot water. They come in 3 sizes: 17L, 21L and 26L. They are at least 6* rated, which means they energy efficient, and they very compact which means they don’t take up much room and they look great! With 12 year warranty on heat exchanger and 3 years on parts and labour, you have peace of mind knowing your hot water will stay hot for years to come.

Condensing Continuous Flow Gas Hot Water Heater – This Continuous Flow hot water heater is an outstanding water heater. Like the Non Condensing Continuous Flow heater, it still only heating water when it’s needed resulting in reduced running and gas costs, and still means you won’t run out of hot water. The outstanding fact about this water heater is that water is heated a second time using the heat from the exhaust gas, reducing wasted energy and lowering the exhaust temperature. These are 6.7* rated, come with 12 year warranty on heat exchanger and 3 years on parts and labour.

Dux Prodigy 4 Gas Storage Hot Water Heaters – These type of water heaters heat up cold water with gas and stores it until it is needed. Dux are market leaders in first hour capacity and recovery rates for their 4* range. This means how quickly it will heat up a tank of cold water, so of course quick hot water to soak in, in the bath! Dux prodigy 4’s come with 7 year tank and flue warranty, 1 year full parts and labour.

Dux Prodigy 5 Gas Storage Hot Water Heaters – Like the Prodigy 4, the Prodigy 5 store the hot water until it is needed. Dux Prodigy 5 is 5* and is more energy efficient. They have new burner technology making faster recovery rates and more hot water. They also come with 10 year tank and flue warranty, 1 year full parts and labour.
